The site is a 90-bed hospital split across two service lines - secure, rehabilitation and recovery. We cater to the treatment needs of male patients with mental illness and/or personality disorders. We aim to maximise an individual's opportunity for recovery, to lead a more independent life back in the community wherever possible. We have six wards, including Low Secure and Locked Rehab, for male service users only.

Many of our patients have previously been in high, medium, or low security. We aim to work collaboratively with our patients, enabling them to take increasing responsibility for managing their own risks, leading to a controlled and graded discharge. Where a patient requires the greatest support we offer contextual risk management, enhancing compliance and aim to improve their quality of life. We serve the patients, carers, and visitors. Kemple View also has a dedicated and purpose-built ward offering low-security forensic specialist older-age service for patients over 50. A higher profile is given to this patient group's physical healthcare, risk reduction and, where required, mobility and daily living aids.
