Service Manager - Supported Living

  • Salary From: £32,000.00 - £35,000.00 depending on experience.
  • 40 Hours per week: 9:00 am to 17:00 pm - meeting the needs of the service.
  • Reports to The Area Manager

Supporting those with complex needs/challenging behaviour, young service users.

Our client is looking for a full-time Supported Living Service Manager to join their team.

As a Supported Living Service Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective running of our clients' Supported Living Services, ensuring high standards of customer service are maintained and all activities are conducted in a safe and secure manner.

As Supported Living Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of services, ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered, and achieving successful outcomes for our clients.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, be highly motivated, and have a good understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults. You must also be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Health and Social Care legislation, as well as an understanding of quality assurance processes. In addition, you will need to have the ability to manage staff effectively and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

You will have overall responsibility for the performance of our client's Supported Living Services and will be expected to lead and manage a team of staff, ensuring that all services are delivered to the highest standards. You will be required to develop and maintain effective working relationships with external organisations, local authorities and other stakeholders. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all staff receive the appropriate training and development opportunities, in order to meet the changing needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the Supported Living Services, ensuring high standards of customer service are maintained.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with external organisations, local authorities and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all services are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies and policies to ensure the successful running of the services.
  • Provide advice and guidance to staff on all aspects of Health and Social Care legislation.
  • Ensure that all staff receive the appropriate training and development opportunities.
  • Ensure that quality assurance processes are followed.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Ensure that the service meets all legislative and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure that all incidents and accidents are reported and investigated in a timely manner.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of managing Supported Living Services.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Good understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults.
  • Good knowledge of Health and Social Care legislation.
  • Understanding of quality assurance processes.
  • Ability to manage staff effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Relevant qualification in Health and Social Care.

Quality Monitoring:

  • Utilise the Quality Monitoring Tools for any Care and Safeguarding of Adults' concerns to ensure issues are identified and effectively addressed.
  • Work with the Registered Manager to review and effectively manage the delivery of care standards and achieve any regulatory improvement or action plan requirements within the specified time scales.
  • Provide and complete the weekly reports to head office advising of remedial action in relation to the quality audits and maintenance of the project.
  • Ensure that all Policies and Procedures are followed.

General:

  • Take responsibility for the running of the project and ensuring that the Registered Manager is kept up to date with the project.
  • Comply with budgeting of finances in relation to money within the home and the budget of the project.
  • Assist the Registered Manager with the management of the home's staffing, financial and material resources, including active involvement in staff recruitment and selection.
  • Ensure that Equal Opportunity policies are followed and promoted within the home regarding both staff and residents.
  • Be available for on-call duties, as required.
  • A commitment to be flexible and to embrace change is expected.
  • To participate in meetings, training and workshops as required
