Full Time Workshop Supervisor - Joinery

Our client is looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join their team in Enfield, Greater London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing joinery operations, ensuring production targets are met and quality standards are maintained. The role is offered on a full-time basis with a salary of £50,000 to £55,000. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of managing joinery production, as well as a working knowledge of CNC machinery, joinery processes and health and safety. They must have the ability to read technical drawings, provide guidance and instruction to team members and have excellent problem solving and organisational skills. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Workshop Supervisor will be responsible for:

• Managing the joinery workshop and all associated operations.
• Ensuring all production targets are met in a timely and cost effective manner.
• Creating plans for the efficient and safe use of materials, machines and labour.
• Maintaining quality standards, identifying any issues and taking corrective action where necessary.
• Assigning tasks to team members and monitoring their performance.
• Carrying out regular inspections of the workshop, equipment and processes.
• Ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed.
• Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes where necessary.
• Liaising with other departments and suppliers to ensure production needs are met.
• Recording and monitoring production data.
• Preparing and submitting reports to the Operations Manager.
• Providing guidance and support to team members.

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the joinery sector.
• Knowledge of CNC machinery, joinery processes and health and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent problem solving and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and lead a team.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
• A full driving licence.
